Local Industries

Local Industries was founded by two Palestinian architects and brothers, Elias and Yousef Anastas. It was the solution to offer to an international clientele highly functional furniture crafted by local artisans.

To mimic their values on the visual identity, we played with two ideas: Roughness, to express their bold character and craftsmanship. Minimalism, to communicate their high standards in functionality and quality. We found the sweet spot with a bold semi-geometric typeface. Its humanistic details made it perfect for our two core concepts. For the logotype, we cut diagonally its ascenders to resemble their industrial part. And we worked with black and white so the product could stand out, as they offer a wild variety of vibrant colors.
